| 6/26/2009 1:37:14 PM From: Kethria I will confess to crying over this even though I have no idea why, but they played some of his videos this morning and I broke down during "Will You Be There" and then "Earth Song" came on and I just lost it. | |
| 6/26/2009 8:11:53 PM From: MrsK I too, will admit to breaking down into sobbing tears. I grew up on Micheal Jackson music. I had the doll, the glove, the socks, the red jacket with the black stripes. Both my kid sister and I did. it is like a part of my childhood died with him. I realize it sounds stupid, and as if it is displaced sympathy, but that isn't it at all. As a musician I must recognize he was a true classic, a trend setter, and despite what some people believe or what may or may not have happened he was a humanitarian. RIP MJ. | |

6/26/2009 8:57:07 PM From: ImWithStupid He's a friggin freak and who the hell cares.
I am just pissed that while on the eve of voting on the biggest legislation in the past half century, the news cycle made a monopoly of this jackass dying, when the possible decimation of what is left of our economy is possibly on the voting block.
6/26/2009 9:15:41 PM From: MrsK Ummmm, apparently a lot of people cared.
All work and no play... | |
6/26/2009 9:22:09 PM From: ImWithStupid That's the sad part.
That's the problem.
More people cared about some defective, child molester than the possible destruction of the US economy and future of our children.
6/26/2009 9:24:23 PM From: MrsK Were you in the room when he allegedly molested a child? No? And was he found innocent by a jusy of his peers? Yes?

| 6/26/2009 9:27:59 PM From: MrsK PS: I have no children, and if I was any more worried about the economy I would probably have to just kill myself and be done with it. Lying awake at night trying to figure out how to squeeze blood from a turnip is getting really old. | |

6/26/2009 9:32:06 PM From: ImWithStupid In California.
So was, OJ, Robert Blake, etc...
If you're famous in California, you can get away with anything.
You're the same person who wants people put away forever for supposed racial crimes, with less evidence than there was in these celebrity trials and cry that the justice system isn't fair.
Try being blamed for a crime like this when you can't afford Johnny Cochrine, it's plenty to establish beyond a reasonable doubt.

| 6/26/2009 9:35:32 PM From: MrsK Oh Fuking here we go again. You know what, I have WAY too many more important things to do than argue with someone who likes to just make shit up as he goes along. I'm going to see my hubby in an hour. Later. | |

| 6/29/2009 1:32:21 PM From: Chi I feel sorry for his kids. They have no mother and who knows what kind of whacko father Michael was. I don't believe he was even their biological father. They don't look anything like him or even part black. | |

I don't give a shit where you stand on Michael Jackson, what IWS is exactly right, all this focus on this "celebrity", when there are much more pressing things at hand.

| 7/1/2009 9:45:42 AM From: mercury If you were watching, maybe that meant you, too? (maybe? possibly? doubtful, though, I know...) Anyway- screw Al Sharpton. | |
7/1/2009 9:58:40 AM From: Chi Al Sharpton, too? I only knew of Jamie Foxx's comments at the BET Awards. Now that's just silly. Especially since Michael Jackson tried more than hard to look like, I wouldn't say white, but an Anime character. Seems to me Michael Jackson loved all kinds of people and to be embraced by all, just take a look at his videos, his songs and messages.
He had white kids and said he wanted to adopt a boy and girl from every continent at one point. But then again, he lied about a lot of things...

| 7/1/2009 10:36:22 AM From: BCAR Well actually Spike Lee was going on about it too but I don't pay much attention that bitter little gnome. | |
| 7/1/2009 10:42:00 AM From: BCAR We'll probably never know for sure what MJ was all about. I think at his core he was a guy who was put on the treadmill busting his ass for a rat bastard of a father before he was even 10 years old. Got hit with fame and fortune too early and never really had a childhood. Probably had very good intentions, never really learned how to interact with people and the public unless he was on a stage. And as a result grew up to be very strange, insecure and God knows what else. | |
