| 10/3/2008 10:33:05 AM From: timesjoke Holy crap, what a kick in the teeth for the Libs, I knew some of this history but not to this kind of detail and some of the details I did not know, you can actually watch the chain of events and how a couple conservative attempts were made but the liberals refused to allow it to be regulated and fixed, they clearly own this decline, I wonder what kind of spin the liberals will come up with to try and escape their responsibility for this one? | |

10/3/2008 12:34:04 PM From: Chi What a nice fairy tale, Hugo. Tell Admin (with his Barachs) from that site to tell us another. What power those Dems have over the entire economy and how this country operates! Republicans are so helpless and blameless I'm sure all of the money we are pouring on this neverending war doesn't affect our contribute to our crippling economy either. | |

| 10/3/2008 12:40:05 PM From: Chi It's funny how that little fairy tale said McCain co-sponsored a bill (the link is dead btw) warning of this, when McCain said not too long ago that the fundamentals of the economy were strong. And at a meeting with the Wall Street Journal editorial board, John McCain admitted he didn't 'really understand economics' | |
| 10/3/2008 12:44:53 PM From: BCAR McCain did indeed cosponsor a bill two years ago that would have put more government control over Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. It went nowhere. The fact is that the fundementals of the economy ARE strong. The application and manipulation of the economy have taken us to where we are. The dollar has been gaining all week against the Euro, an indication that even the EU recognizes the overall strength of the US economy. At any rate Barack isn't the answer here. He'll be a problem. | |
