I've got a slight problem on my hands as well. It's not as serious as sk8r's, but it will likely cause some hurt feelings.
A friend of mine fell for a guy about 3 years ago and thought he was "the one". After he dumped her, she was devastated and to this day has not really recovered from it.
She moved recently and seems to be adjusting fairly well. We're all hoping she'll meet a nice man because her highest priority right now is to get married and start a family.
Today I found out that her ex-boyfriend is engaged to be married to the girl he met immediately after dumping my friend.
Should I tell my friend about the engagement? I don't want to rub salt into old wounds, but I know she'll be upset if she finds out I knew about this and didn't tell her. I guess I'm considering keeping the secret to help prevent an unnecessary meltdown.
