Rules:
1. Racism is neither allowed nor condoned by the owners of this site, any such references to members or non-members of this site will be deleted and time-outs or bans will be given depending on the severity of the comment
2. Cursing is allowed but because you are an adult, we encourage you to take restraint in the words you choose to use. There are far more eloquent and intelligent ways to get your point across rather than resorting to cursing.
3. No pornographic material, or links to pornographic material are allowed. Any such posts will be deleted without question.
4.The Admins and Monitors can and will delete/edit anything they deem fit. They will send a message to you explaining why something was deleted and/or edited. If you have an issue with this, don't take it to the board. Handle it through profile messages. They will make the final decision. No exceptions.
5. We know that people do not agree all the time and there are categories here that could result in a heated disagreement. This is ok but we do expect you to show respect at all times. No name calling or personal attacks if these result in either party becoming upset. We do appreciate that many of you enjoy a good scrap and respect your right to indulge in such. Any continued harassment of another user after being warned will result in a permament ban. No exceptions.
6. Sarcasm is allowed here but as an adult, you should know where to draw the line. If you have problems finding the line, the Admins will be here to help you with that. With that being said, as an adult you should also be able to take sarcasm. Please don't go whining to the Admins about the smallest of things.
7. We do have a category called "The Boiling Pot" to which you can take unresolved disagreements. This is for active members only. You can check their profile to find out when they were last here. If they have not been here in the last week, assume they are not an active member. If the person chooses not to participate in the post, they will not be forced to. A person may message an Admin, at their first viewing of the post, stating that they do not wish to be involved and the post will be deleted. The person who made the post will be sent a message stating why it was deleted. The issue is then between the two parties only and can be resolved through profile messages if so desired. Remember that even if both parties choose to hash it out, you can disagree and still be respectful. If a comment is made by both parties, the assumption will be made that both parties want to be involved.
8. Personal information of others, such as last names, phone numbers, and addresses, will not be allowed in posts or comments. Such information will be deleted. No exceptions. If you choose to share your own personal information with another user, you do so at your own risk
9. Please do not delete your own posts. The update button is a courtesy to you. If you abuse it, we will have to take that away. If you think you will post something and then regret it later, don't post it in the first place. If you do, for some reason, need or want a post deleted, please message an Admin and they will take it into consideration.
10. Do not 'spam' posts with multiple replies. The exception to this is 'game' type posts where multiple replies are acceptable. You may also reply to each person who has asked you a question seperately within a discussion post. If you persist in posting multiple replies after having been warned, your account will be deleted.
11. Please do not make multiple accounts. You may only have ONE active account at any one time. If for some reason you lose your password, email us and we would be glad to send you your information. The email address is included at the bottom of this post.
12. There is nowhere on this site that is private. Higher level admins can read Profile messages. Please be aware of this when you message a user in their profile.
13. Bashing of USM (www.unsolvedmysteries.com) or its members (if they are not or have never been members here) will not be tolerated here. No exceptions.
14. Bashing of the software creator will not be tolerated here. No exceptions.
15. WARNING: Extreme use of fluff is punishable by DEATH! Avoid as much as possible.
Frequently Asked Questions:
All the different forums are to the left side. Click on one and it will open all the posts in that specific category. There is also a description of what can be posted in each section.
To be able to view all of the available categories, you must have an account, see below for how to create a new account
To make a post, you must first become a registered member. Click on NEW ACCOUNT
To post a story, click on NEW POST. Select the category you would like to post under. Select what type of post you wish to make, type out your post and then click add. If the title of a post is too long, sometimes it will not submit. If you have this problem, try making the title shorter. Remember, the title is what draws your readers so try to make it interesting. Please make the post discussable or you won't get many replies.
We have a chat room. Please feel free to use it anytime. This is a good place to gather and just cut up and carry on with your friends. Sometimes that can be faster and easier then sending profile messages back and forth.
Profile messages: Members can send messages back and forth. When you receive a message, you will see a "You got a msg" flashing in the upper left hand side of your screen. Click on it and your profile will open. To reply back to the sender, click on their alias and it will take you to their profile. To send the message just hit submit.
To send someone a message, click on their alias anywhere within a post and it will take you to their profile. Type the message and click submit.
Information on a few categories: There is a Jungle Member News category. This is where you can submit any upcoming events going on in your life and share it with us. There is a Jungle Members Picture category. This is where you can submit pictures of things going on in your life and/or pictures of you and your family. Members can comment to these posts. This category doesn't show on the main page so be sure to check it frequently for new pictures.
***Not everyone's taste is the same and there are some categories here that you might find repulsive. You are not required to click on those posts. If you think it is something you will find offensive, please avoid the post.***
